Carpet Technician ( Crown Point, IN )

Details: Position Summary: Carries out all assigned duties as directed by the Senior Carpet Technician. Is in training to become a Senior Technician. Responsibilities: • Preliminary check of truck each morning, including oil level, water level and tire pressure. • Inventories equipment assigned and reports any discrepancies to the Senior Technician. • Checks chemical inventory on truck. • Assists Senior Technician with directions to customer location and serves as a spotter behind truck during all backing maneuvers. • Explains and sells as many additional services as the customer may desire, including additional carpet and upholstery cleaning, carpet protector, deodorizer and spotter. • Removes required equipment from truck in preparation of each job. • Works under the direction of the Senior Carpet Technician to complete work assigned. • Returns all equipment to the truck and secures it for trip to next assigned appointment. • Cleans truck upon return to branch. • Restocks chemical supplies. • Completes daily equipment maintenance.

HVAC Service Technician - Commercial - Industrial Institutional

Details: Source Mechanical Services has an immediate need for a HVAC Service Technician in the Kansas City Metropolitan area.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The HVAC Technician is responsible for the operations, repairs, replacement and preventative maintenance of commercial air conditioning and heating systems, chillers and boilers, water treatment equipment, controls and other building mechanical and electrical equipment. The preferred candidate will be familiar with refrigeration equipment and all refrigerants. The individual must be self-motivated and work with little supervision. Good communication skills; verbal and written are imperative, as one must be able to properly and completely fill out required Preventive Maintenance (PM) forms, job orders/work request forms, inventory forms and daily time sheets. The individual must maintain safe work practices in support of the OSHA Health and Safety and EPA Assurance Compliance standards as it applies when performing the assigned duties.

Details: Responsible for initiating equipment inspections, trouble shooting, calibrating, and repairing electrical, electronic, and pneumatic instruments and equipment, welding (carbon, stainless different types of material), fabricator , changing shafts, paddles, motors, bearings, belts, Hydraulic lines, Monthly, weekly, daily equipment services and checks.  DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities. Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
