Details: Job Description: Processes all cartridges received from distribution by visually checking each cartridge for body damage, removing the shipping cap with a pneumatic hand drill, removing cartridge seals, and using a variety of gauges, checks plug diameter, seal depth, and thread wear. Determines if these cartridges can be reused. Hand loads pressurized cartridges into a test tank containing heated water and places plastic caps over the cartridges. Record (by size) the number of cartridges processed and the number of cartridges requiring the rework of scrapping. Operates buffing machine to remove old paint. Manually sets up filling machine. Operates filling machine to fill various size cartridges with nitrogen and CO2 to correct weights. Performs necessary rework on refill or reject cartridges. Performs minor maintenance and troubleshoots machine. Loads and operates an automatic cartridge seal assembly machine by scooping washers and bushings into machine feeder, adjusting air pressure, watching the automatic assembly process and correcting (by hand) any cartridge seals improperly assembled. Operates a cartridge-stamping machine by changing fixtures to accommodate various cartridges, changing head stamps and adjusting weight stamp for each cartridge. Visually checks cartridges for pitting, thread damage, etc. Weigh cartridges and insures that weight falls within the appropriate range. Mixes paint by adding three different ingredients according to paint manufacturer's specifications. Operates an automatic cartridge spray paint conveyor by loading and unloading moving conveyor, adjusting air pressure, paint flow, and visually checking painted cartridges for paint consistency and proper coverage. Operates gas fire oven to bake paint into cartridges. Prepares cartridges for shipment by weighing the cartridges and applying the appropriate decals. Sets up and operates heat sensitive wrapping machine for cartridges. Assists Cochran Lab as needed and may be require certification for 5-year retest. Machine Operator I-OEM Packager
Details: Responsibilities: The Machine Operator/OEM Packager we are looking for will test nitrogen cylinders and label according to the blueprints. Hydrotest proportions up to 250 PSI and hoses up to 400 PSI. Cleans Bladder tanks by vacuuming out debris, blast shot or other foreign materials to prep for paint. Leak tests nitrogen cylinders using high pressure in excess of 2000 PSI and seals cylinders for painting and blasting. Rolls cylinders with pressure up to 2000 PSI in and out of booth for painting. Preps all wheeled units from blast. Once painted teardown and bolt to pallets. Loads and unloads wheels for painting. Rolls freshly painted cylinders into rows to dry. Load and unload tanks and cylinders with hoists for painters. Loads all parts from blaster or wheelabrator. Preps all parts for paint by either cleaning with solvents or sanding. Operates a forklift to maneuver tanks in preparation for shipment or returning to the paint booth for touch up.
